 Frequently Asked Questions

We know your time is valuable and it is our hope that this will help you to choose your next event DJ.

Do you have liability insurance?

Absolutely. It protects you as our client.

What area do you provide your service and how far will you travel?

You can view a map of our coverage area here. We are willing to travel outside of this area to perform at your event. Travel charges and/or lodging may be required depending on the distance. Contact us for a consultation.

When do you arrive at the event?

We arrive typically two hours before the start time to ensure that everything is working properly and also have time to review the event planning . You are not charged for setup and breakdown.

Who will be my DJ?

Tracy Humphries is the sole owner and operator of On Q Entertainment and will be your DJ.

Can we meet the DJ before booking?

Definitely! It is always very important to meet with any vendor prior to booking.

Will there be a contract?

Yes. A business agreement should never be without one. The contract is our commitment to you to provide services and your commitment to pay for the services we provide and to lock in your event date.

How is overtime handled?

If you decide at your event that you need us to stay longer and play music you are charged a rate per each extra hour. The rate will be defined on the contract.

Do you act as the “emcee” and make all of the announcements?

Yes, all your announcing needs will be handled professionally without any undue chatter.

How would you define your “style” when making announcements?

You decide what type of DJ  will be at your event. We can be low-key to high-energy. Our goal is for everyone to have a great time.

Will you play songs with explicit lyrics and/or suggestive content?

A lot of music today contains both items. It is our policy to NOT play this type of music in a family and/or professional environment.

Do you have backup equipment?

Yes, backup equipment is an important part of our DJ services. A backup system is not a luxury but a necessity.

What is your usual attire?

Shirt and tie most of the time unless requested different from the client. It all depends on the client preference.
